For the sixth year, the annual Dancing with the Statesboro Stars fundraiser for Safe Haven of Statesboro packed the Georgia Southern University Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Oct. 4. Twelve teams - featuring one experienced dancer and one newbie apiece - performed a diverse range of routines. In the end, Alison Jordan and Ron Washington took home the coveted mirror ball trophy as the 2016 Judges' Choice Award winners, chosen by this year's judges: Miss Georgia 2016 Patricia Ford, former Georgia Southern football star Adrian Peterson and personal trainer and choreographer Shazia Edmonds.
