Over the past dozen or so years, Kenneth Johnson has continually volunteered for various duties at Bulloch County schools as the official clock keeper for both football and basketball home games. He is president of the Statesboro High School Track boosters club, and organizes and manages the concession stand - the proceeds from which support the track teams. In addition to volunteering at various school events, Kenneth has been a volunteer coach for the Statesboro/Bulloch County Recreation Department's soccer and football programs. After college, Kenneth formed a group of young men dedicated to community service projects including visits to local nursing homes, especially for patients without close family ties. One of his special projects is to mentor young black men who lack father figures and need counseling and support.
