    Laurie Lynn Barton and Stuart Lee Pippin were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2007, at First Presbyterian Church in Macon. The Rev. Chip Miller and the Rev. John Bressler officiated the ceremony.
    Laurie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart E. Barton III of Demorest, formerly of Statesboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. William Holderman of Avondale Estates and the late Mr. and Mrs. Stuart E. Barton Jr. of Decatur.
    Stuart is the son of Janice Pippin and the late James Pippin of Forsyth. He is the grandson of Effie Vedder Pippin and the late John Ed Pippin of Forsyth and Lucy Holcomb Yawn and the late Carlton Coolidge Yawn of Vidalia.
    Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless A-line gown of white organza, accented with white ribbon detail at the natural waist and the skirt hemline. She wore a tiered white fingertip-length veil, previously worn by her older sister. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses, white hydrangeas, white stephanotis and small white calla lilies.
    The matron of honor was Beth Clark of St. Petersburg, Fla., and the maid of honor was Kate Barton of Statesboro, both sisters of the bride. The bridesmaids were Anna Harper of Fort Collins, Colo., Margaret Robbins and Tiffany Turner of Atlanta, Elizabeth Fishburne of Washington, D.C., Tate Izlar of Athens and Kristi Burns of Macon.
    The bridesmaids wore strapless A-line floor-length gowns in sapphire blue tissue taffeta, accented with a moonstone blue sash at the natural waist. They carried hand-tied bouquets of blue and white hydrangeas, accented with white roses.
    The flower girls were Olivia Ellington of Atlanta and Lydia Yawn of Vidalia. They both wore white satin dresses and wreathes of baby’s breath, accented with white ribbon, in their hair.
    The best man was Miles Pippin of Macon, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were Roy Roberts, Sean Beck, Robby Redmond and Paul Rish, all of Macon, Evan Ellington of Atlanta and Mike Clark of St. Petersburg, Fla. The ring bearers were Ethan Ellington of Atlanta and Julian Clark of St. Petersburg, Fla.
    Ceremony music was provided by soloist Savana Cameron and acoustic guitarist Daniel Robbins, both of Macon. Scripture was read by Betsy Hall of Washington, D.C.
    Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church. Music was provided by Jay Memory of Atlanta.
    After a honeymoon to Whistler, British Columbia, the couple now resides in Macon.
