    Amanda Beth Carroll and Marshall Robertson Moore were united in marriage on Saturday, June 2, 2007, at 2:30 p.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Fortson, Ga. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Pastor Kent Moore, brother of the groom.
    The bride is the daughter of Lizabeth S. Carroll of Columbus and Billy W. Carroll of Fortson. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Autrey A. Moore of Brooklet..
    The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless gown of candlelight silk shantung with a pleated bodice and bustled back skirt. She carried a bouquet of pink, peach and cream roses with green hypericum berries.
    Laurie Cugino of Columbus served as matron of honor. Krysten Stock of Rome, Ga., served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Chappell of Hamilton, Ga., and Morgan Rogers of Mt. Vernon, Ga.
    They wore strapless, taupe tea-length dresses with champagne sashes. They carried bouquets of cream roses.
    Bess Moore, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.
    The groom chose his father, Autrey Moore, to serve as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Williams of Statesboro, brother-in-law of the groom; Dusty Davis and John Hutchens, both of Athens and classmates of the groom.
    Music for the ceremony was provided by Laura and Chris Blanton with a collection of hymns, classical and original pieces.
    Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church. The reception was hosted by Fran Papenfuss and assisted by aunts of the couple.
    The couple honeymooned on St. Simons Island and now resides in Athens, where the groom is in his third year at the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine.
