Mr. and Mrs. Chad Heard Sr. of Newton, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Frances Lynn Heard of Newton, Ga., to Gregory Wayne Parrish Jr. of Brooklet, Ga.
The prospective bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Marshall Jr. of Pelham, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Heard of Newton, Ga. She graduated from Sherwood Christian Academy in 2002 and Georgia Southern University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Nursing degree. She is currently obtaining her Master's degree from Georgia Southern University's Family Nurse Practitioner program and working part-time as a registered nurse at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Ga.
The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Greg Parrish Sr. of Brooklet. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grady Parrish of Brooklet and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Corbett Sr. of Springfield, S.C. He graduated from Southeast Bulloch High School in 2002. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 2007 from Georgia Southern University and is currently employed with Farmer's Organic of Newton.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, November 21, 2009, at 4:30 p.m. at Gin Creek near Moultrie, Ga.
