    Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Edwards Herrington of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Ware Herrington of Statesboro, to Alexander Davies Sanders, son of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Hillman Sanders of Macon.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thomas Sanders, Mrs. Mamie Edwards Herrington and the late Dr. John Lynwood Herrington, all of Nashville, Tenn. Ware received a BS in Communications, Sciences and Disorders from The University of Georgia and a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from Valdosta State University. She is currently employed as a speech pathologist with Sundance Rehabilitation in Atlanta.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Everett Clay Bryant of Newnan, Ga., Mrs. Albert Hubert Sanders and the late Mr. Sanders of Macon. Alex graduated from The University of Georgia with a BA in Finance and received a Juris Doctorate from The Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. He is employed at Phillips and Phillips, Attorneys at Law, in Macon.
    The couple has planned to wed on October 18, 2008, at six o’clock in the evening in the Georgia Southern University Botanical Gardens.
