Kristi Leigh Hofstadter became the bride of David Skye Duke during a ceremony held on August 16, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. at the fountain in Forsyth Park in Savannah. The Rev. Steven Schulte officiated.
The bride is the daughter of James L. Hofstadter of Anderson, S.C., and Mrs. Will Crask of Garden City. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hofstadter of Oxford, Ohio, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Portwood of Statesboro.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Derek L. Duke Sr. of Statesboro. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh J. Duke and Mrs. H.V. Harvey Jr.
Given in marriage by her father, James L. Hofstadter, the bride chose her sister, Mrs. Mark Abraham of Savannah, as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Dewayne Hiers of Atlanta, Stephanie Elie of Cincinnati, Ohio, Whitney Gregory of Statesboro and Mrs. Ryan Jones of Marietta.
Mr. Geffory Thompson of Statesboro was best man. Groomsmen were Derek Lee Duke Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., brother of the groom; Dr. Gil MacGregor of Birmingham, Ala., Jimmy Hofstadter of Anderson, S.C., brother of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a seated dinner reception was held in the Scarbrough Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency in Savannah.
The couple honeymooned in Hermitage Bay, Antigua, and now resides in Lincoln, Neb., where Kristi is a doctoral student and Skye is on staff at the University of Nebraska.
