Susan Lee Anthony of Metter, Ga., and John Paul and Monica Johnson of Portal, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Casey Lee Johnson, to James Preston Moore, son of Sheila C. and Keith Perkins and C. Paul "Skeebo" and Donna Moore of Statesboro, Ga.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ginger and John Gregory and Jimmy and Kay Anthony, all of Statesboro, Ga., the late Paul and Ritha B. Johnson of Portal and Bill and Wilma Gainey of Millen, Ga. She is the great-granddaughter of Marguerite C. Hamner and the late Russell M. Hamner of Moultrie, Ga., and the late Robert Lee Rutledge of Lumpkin, Ga., the late Frances D. Moore of Barnesville, Ga., and the late Eugene Anthony of Geneva, Ga., and Alma Edenfield of Statesboro. Casey is a 2006 graduate of David Emanuel Academy, Stillmore, Ga. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Education at Georgia Southern University. She is currently employed with Smiles, Giggles and Hugs in Statesboro.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Paul L. Moore and the late Betty June Moore, Wanda and Joe Aldrich, Tommy Conner, Bill and Jeannette Perkins, Theresa Akins and the late John Roger Akins, all of Statesboro. Preston is a 2003 graduate of Portal High School and is the owner of Moore Insurance and Associates in Statesboro.
Casey and Preston will wed at 5 p.m. on January 23, 2010, at Flat Creek Lodge located in Swainsboro, Ga.
