     Mr. and Mrs. Douglas H. Lambert of Statesboro and Ms. Rhonda M. Lee of Savannah announce the engagement of their daughter, Savanna Lee Lambert, to Brian James Prevatt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike E. Prevatt of Wilmington Island and Ms. Elizabeth S. Prevatt of Toccoa.
      The wedding is planned for Saturday, August 1, 2009, at 7 p.m. at First Methodist Church of Statesboro with a reception to follow at Forest Heights Country Club.
      The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. J.C. Lee and the late Beulah Lee of Statesboro and Mrs. Juanita Westbrook and the late Harold H. Lambert of Gainesville. She is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a degree in Interior Design and employed by James W. Buckley & Associates, Inc. in Savannah.
      The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Ms. Edna S. Snook of Homerville, Ga., and Ms. Virginia Prevatt of Statesboro. He will be graduating in May 2009 from Georgia Southern University with a Master's in Accounting and will be employed by Hancock Askew & Co. in Savannah.

Ashley Brooke Merritt Jay Robert Clarke

    Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy and Susan Merritt of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Brooke Merritt of Statesboro, to Jay Robert Clarke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy and Janice Clarke.
       The bride-elect is the granddaughter of James and Barbara Lambert and Jim and Brenda Merritt, all of Alabama. She is the great-granddaughter of James and Alice Lambert of Huntsville, Ala. Ashley attended Statesboro High School and Ogeechee Technical College. She graduated with a degree in Echocardiography and is currently employed by Savannah Cardiology in Okatie, S.C. She is also an active member of Register Baptist Church.
       The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. J.R. Clarke of Savannah. Jay attended Statesboro High School and Ogeechee Technical College. He is currently self-employed as an agriculture and livestock farmer. He is also an active member of Register Baptist Church.
       The couple has planned to wed on April 17, 2010, at 6 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church.
       No local invitations are being sent. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
