Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Vangiller of Statesboro announce the engagement of their son, James Caleb Vangiller of Statesboro, to Brittany Roxanne Owens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Owens.

            The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Johnny and Betty Mixson and Hoyt and Helen Owens. She is a graduate of Community Christian Academy.

            The groom-elect is the grandson of David Vangiller Sr. and Wanda Carson and the late Rudolph D. Cook Jr. and Marcia Cook Jordan and is the great-grandson of Peggy Cook and Bernice Yarbrough. Caleb was home-schooled and graduated through Lakeview Christian School. He is part owner of the family-owned Dalton Direct Flooring Outlet.

            The couple has planned to wed on November 7, 2008, at 8 p.m. at the Community Baptist Church in Lodge, S.C.
