The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Willie Pearl Daughtry of Twin City, Ga., and the late Mr. Dorsey and Mrs. Emma Mincey of Stillmore, Ga. She graduated from Jenkins County High School in Millen, Ga., and is currently employed as a customer service representative with Sears in Statesboro.
The groom-elect is the son of Ms. Bernice Handberry and Duke Cheeks of Swainsboro, Ga. He is also the grandson of Ms. Mattie Huston of Swainsboro. He is a graduate of Swainsboro High School in Swainsboro and is currently employed with United Parcel Service of Swainsboro.
The wedding is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009, at the Williams Grove Holiness Church of God in Christ. The church is located on Highway 25 South in Millen.
