Blair Alexandra Riley and William Carroll “Bill” Inabinet III were united in marriage by the Rev. Murray Ward on March 31, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church of Dublin, Ga., in a 6:30 p.m. traditional Irish candlelit ceremony.
Music was provided by Dan Bray, Mandy Kavanaugh, Cue Herndon and Adam Lockamy.
The bride was given in marriage by her mother, Dr. Brenda Shuman-Riley.
The bride wore a strapless silk diamond white ball gown accented with gold and crystal embroidery at the waistline and trailing down the cathedral-length train. Accented by a gold and crystal tiara, the cathedral-length veil was crystal encrusted and trimmed with beading. Highlighting the bridal wear was the couple’s monogram, hand-pearled and hand-stitched into the ceremony veil by Vanessa North, artist.
To honor Irish tradition and incorporate symbols of good luck, the bride carried with her a lucky six pence, the family crest, her childhood pearls, her maternal grandmother’s wedding band, her paternal grandmother’s pearl earrings and her christening bonnet. Her bouquet of full peonies and lilies of the valley was tied with gold ribbon and family heirloom love knots.
The bridesmaids wore latte satin halter tea-length dresses, accented by chiffon sashes and gold and smoky quartz broaches. The ladies also wore gold and quartz drop earrings, gifts from the bride. Complementing the Irish green decor were the bridesmaids’ bouquets of lime cymbidium orchids and green hydrangea tied with latte satin ribbon.
Supporting Blair and Bill in marriage were the matron of honor, Brooka Hutcheson of Dublin, Ga., and bridesmaids Jessica Sampson of Cumming, Ga., Diane Morrison of Huntington Beach, Calif., Mandy Inabinet of Monroe, Ga., and Dee Hudgens of Statesboro. Junior bridesmaid was Alyssa Hutcheson of Dublin.
Best man was Tom Rowan of Savannah. Groomsmen were Bill Inabinet of Monroe, Dreher Inabinet of Deatsville, Ala., Michael Inglesby of Dacula, Ga., and Drew Frederickson of Statesboro.
Bell ringers were Kaelee Hutcheson of Dublin, Mason Hudgens of Statesboro and Pierce and Presley Jackson of Villa Rica, Ga.
Traditional and Irish hymns preluded the ceremony, which included a reading from I Corinthians by Joni Bundrick.
The church was decorated with arrangements of cymbidium orchids, hanging amaranths and hydrangea adorning each pew and was highlighted by an aisle runner, hand-painted with the couple’s monogram and lined with 300 white rose petals. The focal point of curly willow draped with green cymbidium orchids and hanging amaranths was placed among pillar candles topping circular wrought iron candelabras decorated with hanging glass filled with orchids and hydrangea. Celtic crosses from the family collection were placed among garlands and pillar candles on the altar in memory of the bride’s late grandparents.
The reception was held at the Dublin Country Club. Arrangements of tall vases filled with assorted limes and apples were topped with large sprays of bells of Ireland, cymbidium orchids, hanging amaranths and green calla lilies, and alternating tables were accented by banked candles and glass urns filled with similar flowers.
The Dirk Howell Band of Athens entertained throughout the evening. After a honeymoon in Rome and Florence, Italy, the couple makes their home in Loganville.
Friends, family celebrate Riley-Inabinet wedding
Prior to their wedding, several gatherings were hosted in celebration of the couple’s engagement and marriage.
An engagement barbecue was hosted by Dianne Jackson, Kristi Holcomb and Michelle Jackson at the home of Jerry and Kristi Holcomb in Woodstock, Ga.
Bridal showers included a drop-in tea hosted by and at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Monty Shuman in Dublin, Ga., and a gathering hosted by many members of the Sallie Zetterower Elementary School Family was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Manack in Statesboro.
Sally Bethea and Linda Head hosted a Kitchen and Bath shower at the First Baptist Church social hall in Monroe, Ga., and colleagues at Youth Middle School in Loganville, Ga., also honored the bride with a shower.
A Lawn and Garden shower was hosted by Greg and Renee Thompson, Jason and Lisa Anderson, Andy Head and Grace Head at the home of Mrs. Head.
The bridal party enjoyed a luncheon at Bellevue Cottage, hosted by LoAnn Ryals and Dee Hudgens.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Inabinet, the parents of the groom, hosted the Rehearsal Dinner at the Page House in Dublin.
