The bride-elect, groom-elect and their families announce the engagement of Jamie Sikes of Collins, Ga., to Tietgen Edenfield of Metter.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Kay M. Sikes and Willis and Tammy Sikes, all of Collins. She is the granddaughter of Kermit and Lucy Martin of Cobbtown, Ga., and the late Clayton and Annie Sikes. She graduated from Pinewood Christian Academy and Georgia Southern University, where she received a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education. She is presently employed by the Evans County Board of Education as a kindergarten teacher.
The future groom is the son of Al and Miriam Edenfield of Metter. He is the grandson of Wallace and Skeeter Edenfield of Metter and the late Jack and Bernice McArthur of Cobbtown. He is a 1998 graduate of ECI. He is currently self-employed.
The wedding has been planned for October 27, 2007, at 6 p.m. at Metter United Methodist Church in Metter.
