Mr. and Mrs. John Milton Burke Jr. of Millen, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Dana Nicole Burke of Millen, to William Dakota "Cody" Jones of Sylvania, Ga., son of Mr. and Mrs. William Strickland of Sylvania and Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Deal Jr. of Portal.
       The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Milton Burke Sr. of Millen and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Davis of Swainsboro, Ga. She is a 2003 graduate of Jenkins County High and is currently attending Ogeechee Technical College, where she is pursuing a degree in Surgical Technology. She is currently employed by Statesboro Bulloch Regional Veterinary Hospital.
       The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Johns of Statesboro, Ga., Mr. and Mrs. Paul Franklin Deal of Statesboro and Mr. Sanford Strickland of Sylvania and Mrs. Sara Kitchens of Sylvania and is the great-grandson of Mr. Grady White of Statesboro and the late Mary Alice White of Statesboro. He is a 2005 graduate of Statesboro High School and is currently attending Georgia Southern University, where he is pursuing a degree in Psychology. He is employed with Papa's Pizza of Statesboro.
      The wedding is planned for three o'clock in the afternoon of Saturday, June 19th, 2010, at Green Fork Baptist Church in Perkins with a reception immediately following.
