Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Franklin Griffin of Millen are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Kathryn Griffin, to Robert Clinton Holley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Allen Holley of Wadley.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 5 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Statesboro, Ga.
Miss Griffin is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Robert Hunter Rackley of Millen and the late Mr. and Mrs. D.L. Griffin of Alamo. A 2005 honor graduate of Jenkins County High School, she majored in Child and Family Development at the University of Georgia, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences in 2009. She is a member of Kappa Delta sorority. Miss Griffin is a nutrition counselor at PHC Weight Loss and Wellness Center in Augusta.
Mr. Holley is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wynder Clinton Smith of Wadley and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Allen Holley of Wrens. He is a 2005 honor graduate of Thomas Jefferson Academy in Louisville and a 2009 graduate of the Terry Business College of the University of Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance. He is a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Mr. Holley is a third generation employee of his family's Wrens Finance Company, where he serves as collection manager.
