Julie Haney of Dacula, Ga., announces the engagement of her daughter, Asia Haney of Dacula, to Blake Anthony Usry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Al and Lisa Hill and Tony Usry.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of David and Linda Collins and is the great-granddaughter of W.M. and Mary Savage. She is currently attending Georgia Southern University, where she will obtain a Bachelor's of Science degree in Public Relations.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Jerry and Linda Hagins of Statesboro, Helen Usry, Tyna Hayes and Sue Groover and is the great-grandson of the late George and Lucille Hagins of Statesboro and Christine Hall and the late J.G. Hall of Metter. He is currently attending Georgia Southern University, where he will obtain a Bachelor's of Science degree Business. Blake also serves in the U.S. Army National Guard Reserves.
    The couple has planned to wed on May 9, 2010, at 7 p.m. at the Carl House in Auburn, Ga.
