Ms. Sandra Kate Hendrix and Mr. John Jaye Ellington announce their marriage on Sunday, October 13, 2013, in Atlanta, Ga.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Marshall Long III of Statesboro, Ga., and mother of Austin Coleby Hendrix of Savannah, Ga. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bartow Parks Lamb of Statesboro. She is also the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Marshall Long Jr. of Crescent City, Fla. Sandra Kate is employed as the assistant vice president of human resources for Meadows Regional Medical Center.
    The groom is the son of Mrs. Nan Davis Ellington of Soperton, Ga., and the late Charles Edward Ellington Sr. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Simeon Ellington of Laurens County, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Tom Davis of Wrightsville, Ga. John is the presiding judge of the Court of Appeals of Georgia.
    Mr. and Mrs. Ellington will make their home in Soperton after a Rotary International humanitarian project in Togo, West Africa, and a honeymoon in Paris, France.
