Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Perry Sumner Jr. of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Catherine Autrell Sumner, to Spenser Lake Findley, son of Pamela Daughtry-Simmons and the late Robby Sam Findley of Metter, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Autrell Dooley of Savannah, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Perry Sumner Sr. of Statesboro. She is a 2014 graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, where she received her juris doctorate. She is currently employed as an assistant district attorney for the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Jeanette McCauley of Tallahassee, Fla., and Mr. Jarrell Daughtry of Metter. He is also the grandson of the late Mrs. Emma Bird Brown of Metter and the late Mr. Sam Findley of Jacksonville, Fla. Mr. Findley is a 2006 graduate of Metter High School and is currently employed with Yancey Brothers Co. in Statesboro.

The couple is planning to wed on June 11, 2016, at 5 o'clock in the afternoon at First Baptist Church in Statesboro, followed by a reception at Beaver Creek Plantation in Twin City, Ga.
