Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Woodrum (the former Mary Alice Blackwell of Atlanta) of Statesboro plan to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, May 2, 2014. The couple married in Atlanta on May 1, 1964. They have two children and five grandchildren. Their children are David and Julie Woodrum of Kasson, Minn., parents of Daniel, Laurel and Charlotte; and Alan and Wendy Woodrum of Statesboro, parents of Madison and Jackson. Family and friends are invited to attend their reception on Friday, May 2, in the fellowship hall of the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church from 5 until 7 p.m. The couple requests no gifts, please, as your presence will be your gift to them.
