A portion of Brooklet-Denmark Road will be closed part of next week for drainage repairs

A portion of Brooklet-Denmark Road near Southeast Bulloch High School will be closed Monday through Wednesday so work crews can make improvements on drainage, said Bulloch County Transportation Director Eddie Smith. The portion of the road to be closed is between Black Creek Church Road and the high school. Brooklet-Denmark Road is slated for widening, and the county will be adding a new lane to the road as well as installing three new drain pipes, which is expected to eliminate problems the county has had in the past with water over the roadway, Smith said. There is a possibility the roadway could be reopened by Tuesday if the project is completed, he said.
