The Averitt Center for the Arts will be presenting the musical "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" at the Emma Kelly Theater on July 26-28.

The stage adaptation of the classic movie musical is a collaboration between the Averitt Center, Statesboro High School and Georgia Southern University's Opera Department. 

Based on a children's novel written by Ian Flemming of James Bond fame, the story follows inventor and widower Caractacus Potts as he builds a magical car and takes his children and sweetheart on fantastical, musical adventures.
