Coats for kids drive
Lions Club project aims to keep children warm
W COATS FOR KIDS 01
In this Herald file photo from 2009, Santa greets both customers and coat donors at Andrew's Clean Corners in downtown Statesboro.
The Bulloch Lions Club Coat Drive collected more than 1,300 donated coats last holiday season and members are putting added emphasis on coats for children this year. Donors can drop off their used coats - and those never exchanged gift coats and never worn purchases - at any of Andrews Klean Korner's four locations in Statesboro from now through Christmas. Coats will be distributed to adults and children in need through Worn Threads, two other community clothes closets, and Bulloch County schools.
