NOTICE: Katheryn Leigh Baska, 23, Ramundo Drive, Atlanta — was NOT CHARGED with simple battery, public intoxication, and obstruction, as reported in the Nov. 4 issue of the Statesboro Herald. According to police, another person used Baska's identity and possessed her ID, resulting in the incorrect charges. Police cleared the matter and no charges are issued against Baska.
Lauren Elizabeth Duke, 19, Lanier Drive — simple battery, underage possession of alcohol, giving false information, public intoxication, obstruction.

PRESIDENT CIRCLE — A woman told police she suspected a homeless person was living in an abandoned home. Police checked and discovered there had been someone staying there.
PETCO — Two juveniles stole three laser toys from the store and a patrolling officer saw them nearby. They returned the items and the store manager declined to prosecute, but banned them from the store.
HARVEY'S CAR CARE — Rims and tires were reported stolen from a vehicle.
VARIOUS LOCATIONS — A series of brush fires were reported at a number of apartment complexes surrounding the Georgia Southern University campus. No serious damage was reported.
BUTLER HOMES — A woman reported the theft of a rocking chair from her porch.
PARK PLACE APARTMENTS — A Play Station 3 and controllers were taken in a burglary.
SHENANIGANS — A woman was arrested for fighting. She was arrested and gave a false ID, causing the person whose ID she used to have incorrect reports published that she had been charged with simple battery, public intoxication and obstruction. Statesboro Police cleared the matter and assigned charges t the correct person, adding a charge of giving false information.
