COTTON AVENUE — A woman said she and a juvenile were attacked and robbed of a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. Two men with a metal pole and a brick broke in her back door and hit her and the juvenile before fleeing. Police questioned the woman after her elderly mother called them asking to conduct a welfare check on the victims, who had not yet called police to report the incident, according to reports.
MADISON MEADOWS — A woman said a man tackled her, grabbed her purse and fled towards Groover Homes.
In a separate incident a complainant reported someone threw eggs on two vehicles.
LORETHA STREET — A woman said her roommate told her how much he liked her, and when she said she did not return his feelings, he got angry and yelled at her. She was afraid, so she locked herself into her room and called police.
PARK PLACE APARTMENTS — A woman reported the theft of a metal dog cage.
COLLEGE VUE APARTMENTS — A man reported a TV, DVD player, DVDs, surround sound system, duffel bag and more taken from his home after someone shattered a glass door. A neighbor reported a TV taken from another apartment.
Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents
U.S. 80 EAST — (Statesboro) a woman said she entered a convenience store and deposited $260 in a slot machine and won a store credit of $650. When she asked for the credit the employee working said he was not there when she put the money in and since she had no receipt, he could not issue credit. Deputies advised her of magistrate court procedures.
WEST PARRISH STREET/NELSON WAY — (Statesboro) A deputy who noted a motorcycle driver not wearing a helmet followed him home, and discovered the motorcycle was reportedly stolen from Portal, and the man driving it had a suspended license for " serious violations under 21." The offender was arrested and the motorcycle turned over to Portal Police.
