Police Report - September 10

Statesboro Police Arrests

William R. Tussey, 18, Rustin Street, Glenville — underage possession of alcohol.

David Blake Hayes, 18, Bartlett Drive — underage possession of alcohol.

Sarah F. Hope, 20, Lanier Drive — underage possession of alcohol.

Bulloch Sheriff's Arrests

Georgia State Patrol Arrests

Javier Morales, 28, Haga, — driving under the influence.

Shannon Entree, 32, Metter — driving under the influence.

Katherine Ball, 18, Jewell Drive — driving under the influence.

Troopers issued 41 traffic citations.

Statesboro Police Incidents

ROUNDTREE STREET — The victim states that his ex-wife came in and took the children's toys and clothing from his house.

STATESBORO PLACE APTS — A woman said someone put two six-foot scratches down each side of her car and scratched the words "Do Not Park" into the trunk.

WOODLAND APTS — The victim called to say her car had been keyed by an unknown person.

DONEHOO STREET — The victim said she found her car with the side passenger window broken. The vehicle showed no sign of entry and the damage appeared to be caused by the hot weather.

E MAIN STREET — The victim fell and injured his head, receiving abrasions to his forearms and forehead. The officer transported the victim home.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR — The officer responded to a couple involved in a domestic dispute. The man was found to have scratches on his chest and face. The wife could not be located.

THE WASH ROOM — The victim stated that someone took her load of laundry, consisting of seven pairs of shorts and 20 shirts, then fled in a green vehicle.

GENTILLY ROAD — The victim received harassing calls from a man saying she was responsible for getting him arrested. The first call came shortly after the man was arrested and the second call came in just before police arrived.

FAIR ROAD — An unknown person entered a residence and took two pounds of hamburger from the victim's freezer. There were no signs of forced entry on the home or the freezer.

EAGLE COURT APTS — A man found his vehicle with the rear window damaged by an unknown object. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

ROBIN HOOD TRAIL — A car was found to be parked partially on the road and a risk to other drivers. The officer had the vehicle towed.

PARK PLACE APTS — A man's friend overheard a group of men plotting to burglarize the intended victim's home. The friend would not make a statement to the police.

EAGLE HEALTH AND REHABILITATION — An employee reported that a man had wandered off the property and had not been seen since September 7th.

FOXRIDGE APTS — A woman came home to find her door unlocked, though she said she locked it before she left. Nothing was found to be missing.

BLAKEWOOD APTS — Officers responded to a report of a fight at the apartment complex. When they arrived, they found about 150 people gathered and began to break up the party. As they did so, about 20 people entered a single apartment. The tenant said she was having a birthday party when everyone showed up. No one was found to be involved in a fight.

APEX — The victim said another woman had entered the ladies' bathroom shortly after midnight and started a fight with her. The victim was found with scratches on her arms and face.

CAMPUS CLUB APTS — Officers issued two underage drinking citations to individuals drinking out of beer cans while in the parking lot.

Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents

MILLER STREET — A woman stated that the rear windshield of her car had been shot by a BB gun and she believed the offender lived across the street. Officer spoke to the offender who said it was an accident but took full responsibility. Offender's father was notified and the two parties agreed to handle the repair without further police intervention.

DELOCAH CHURCH ROAD — (Pembroke) A woman she got into an altercation with a former boyfriend who slapped her in the face and hit her in the chest. When police contacted the man, he denied touching the woman, but stated she had scratched his face and refused to return the clothes he had left at her house. The officer returned two bags of clothing to the man, from the woman's house, and advised both parties of the magistrate court process.

ERVIN ROAD — A man was placed under arrest for battery (family violence) after the officer responded to a domestic dispute call.

SANDY CREEK ROAD — (Ellabell) A man and a woman were involved in a dispute over a piece of property that is jointly owned. The man had come over to the property, at which he no longer resides, and told the woman not to put a gate on the property. When the man became irate and began cursing at the woman, she called the sheriff. The man had gone by the time deputies arrived.

MAY ROAD — (Ellabell) A man woke up at 5 a.m. to get ready for work and, unable to find his cigarettes, became angry. He began pulling items out of drawers and cabinets, then started cussing at his wife, calling her names. When the man left, the wife called the sheriff. She told the deputy that they have been having marital problems and the deputy advised her to seek counseling and to contact a safe haven for further assistance.

CYPRESS LAKE — A man reported that some tin roofing sheets with square channels had been taken from his property. Though he did not know the actually number of sheets stolen, he estimated the value to be a thousand dollars.

CROSS CREEK FARM ROAD — (Brooklet) A woman stated that someone had come onto her property and broke the rear window of her car. She also said there appeared to be damage to the front door frames, as well. Victim stated she believed nothing had been taken from the vehicle.

US 301 SOUTH — Victim said she dropped off her car for an oil change and detailing at a local dealer. When she went to pick up the truck, she said an envelope had been removed from the center console that had contained nearly $500 cash. She was advised of the magistrate process.

BROOMSTRAW TRACE — The victim said her landlord's son walked into her residence looking for her husband. The victim told him that her husband was out of town and asked the landlord's son to leave the property. He then threatened the victim and stated that if he caught the victim's husband on the premises, he would come back and kill everyone in the house. Victim stated the man appeared to be drunk.

OLD DILL ROAD — A man stated that when he returned home from work he found his back door pushed open and his bedroom door locked. He said that he always leaves the back door locked and the bedroom door open. There was nothing reported missing.

TWO CHOP ROAD — The deputy responded to a call about a vehicle stopped at an intersection. Upon arrival, he found a green truck running in the middle of the road with the brakes illuminated. Looking inside, he saw the driver asleep and tried to wake him by tapping on the glass. The officer then opened the door, noticed the strong smell of alcohol and that both the driver's feet were on the brake with the vehicle still in drive. The officer then reached across the driver to turn off the vehicle. When driver was wakened and asked to step out of the vehicle, he then fell to the ground. Since the driver was not wearing shoes, the officer did not administer a field sobriety test but took the man to the jail, where he failed the state's chemical test and was charged.

US 301 NORTH — Victim complained that someone had spray painted graffiti on her trailer.

BRUCE GROOVER ROAD — Victim stated that several jewelry items had been taken from his residence. Entry had apparently been made through the kitchen window, which had been knocked out by an unknown object.

JOHN COLEMAN DRIVE — (Register) Complainant stated that a number of items had been taken by the offender when he had moved out. The items included a car trailer, a utility trailer, tires and rims, a cutting torch, a propane tank, a set of golf clubs and a table. No contact was made with offender.

OLD PORTAL ROAD — The victim stated that he had parked his two tractors and that someone had stolen the tool boxes out of them while they were parked.

R.J. KENNEDY ROAD — A man called the sheriff when a woman was found smoking crack in his house. The offender was transported to Bulloch County jail.

Georgia State Patrol Incidents

Troopers issued 36 warnings, assisted two motorists, investigated one crash and helped one injured person.
