Final Geo Vista robber gets 10 years

A federal judge sentenced a woman to almost 10 years in prison for driving a getaway car during a bank robbery last year. Three other offenders were sentenced in April, said United States Attorney Ed Tarver. Tymesha Hamilton, known by the nickname "Savage Doll," was sentenced in federal district court Thursday in Statesboro "for her role as the getaway driver and organizer in an armed bank robbery of the Geo Vista Federal Credit Union that occurred in Statesboro, Georgia on September 7, 2010," he said.

State-funded health center to open in Langston Chapel schools
Bulloch County Schools receives $1M grant

Bulloch County Schools will open its first school-based health center for the 2025-26 school year, offering comprehensive medical care and counseling care to students and staff at two of its schools. According to a release from Hayley Greene, director of Public Relations for the school district, Langston Chapel Elementary and Langston Chapel Middle, which share a campus, will house the health center. The project that is being funded by a $1 million grant from the Georgia Department of Education.
