It was a grueling day in the Ebenezer courtroom Thursday at the Effingham Judicial Complex in Springfield as jurors heard testimony from expert witnesses and viewed the home where Craig Heidt is accused of killing his father and brother and wounding his mother in 2008. Court recessed at 4 p.m. to allow key witness Robin Heidt enough time to testify, which could last up to three hours and will begin today at 9 a.m. Craig Heidt has admitted to having an affair with Robin Heidt, who was married to his brother Carey, whom Carig Heidt is accused of killing. Defendant Craig Heidt is charged with slaying his father Philip Heidt, brother Carey and of shooting his mother Linda Heidt in 2008.
