Georgia Southern campus now closed
All university-sponsored activities cancelled through Saturday

The Georgia Southern University campus is closed effective at 10 am this morning. This will enable faculty, staff and students to meet logistical challenges that may present themselves prior to the storm. All Georgia Southern University sponsored events are canceled through Saturday, October 8. Please dismiss all staff, students and faculty at this time.

Georgia Southern University buses will run until noon.
Georgia Southern University's on-campus residence halls will remain open.
Dining Commons on Oct. 6-8, will be open 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 5 - 8 p.m. All other dining outlets will be closed on Friday and Saturday.

Due to the Governor's expansion of the voluntary evacuation orders for six coastal counties, the University will work with professors to make appropriate accommodations for students living in those counties should they be unable to travel to campus on Thursday, Oct. 6.

The Statesboro campus and the Coastal Georgia Center in Savannah will be closed on Friday, Oct. 7 through Saturday, Oct. 8 and all events are canceled for both days.

Georgia Southern University's on-campus residence halls will remain open.

On Friday, Oct. 7, and Saturday, Oct. 8, Dining Commons will be open 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 5 - 8 p.m. All other dining outlets will be closed on Friday and Saturday.

The University Store will be closed on Friday, Oct. 7.
