Editor:

            Don’t get me wrong … I’m not adverse to the Miss America and Ms. America and Miss World beauty and talent contests. But … by awarding someone Miss America for everything imaginable (onions, potatoes, pickles, squash, spearmint and eucalyptus — or haven’t we done those yet … really! Don’t you think we have taken the specialty, honesty and integrity just a bit too far!

            I have a better idea … why don’t we just crown and name every girl and woman Miss or Ms. America right now and get it over with!

            Grossly overdone. No … not me … the pageants!
