            The Statesboro Regional Sexual Assault Center would like to thank the many people who supported our fundraiser, Caribbean Night, on April 28 at Snella’s Place.

            The community’s support of our organization is invaluable. Without it, we could not serve victims of sexual assault in our area. Considering that 1 in 4 women will be sexually assaulted in her lifetime, the chances of it happening to someone you know are high. If it does, the Statesboro Regional Sexual Assault Center will be here to give the best possible services to victims.  Our mission is to provide:

            ‰ Direct response to victims of sexual assault

            ‰ Community education concerning sexual assault and its prevention

            ‰ Advocacy for sexual assault victims through direct services and liaison relationships, including medical, legal, social, and law enforcement

            ‰ Follow-up support through referral to other community services

            With the community’s help, we raised over $6,000 which will help us offer these services to victims. We look forward to hosting this event again next year and hope that the community will continue to support our efforts.
