A man attacked his mother Friday, punching her repeatedly before smashing a candy jar into her head. Jerry Donta Allen, 24, of Simmons Lane, fled after the attack and evaded arrest for two days, but was apprehended Sunday, Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson said. Deputies were dispatched around 6:30 p.m. Friday to the victim’s G.W. Oliver Road home, responding to a call about a “violent domestic dispute,” Anderson said.
