Heather Mims, a mother of five children, a school council member at two of the Bulloch County Schools and currently a substitute teacher, has announced her candidacy for the District 7 seat on the Bulloch County Board of Education. Current District 7 member Mike Herndon, this year’s chairman, recently revealed that he will not seek re-election. So Mims is the only known candidate for the seat at this time.
