Zaxby’s is opening its second location in Statesboro, the town where the brand started 25 years ago. Founded as a local restaurant catering to the Statesboro college crowd, Zaxby’s is celebrating the significant anniversary milestone with the Statesboro community by opening a new prototype location, the largest of its kind for the chain.Located at 1605 Chandler Road, the new restaurant is opening its doors on Monday at 10:30 a.m.To celebrate the grand opening, Zaxby’s will give away a Fanatic Pack of 52 Free Dealz — meaning a free item at the Chandler Road location each week for a year – to the first 100 guests in line by 10 a.m. Also, in honor of the 25th anniversary, guests will be treated to throwback pricing — the Zaxby’s Chicken Finger Plate will cost the original price of $3.69. An official ribbon cutting ceremony and appearances by Georgia Southern University spirit teams also will be part of the opening day festivities.
