A rumor of a possible threat at Statesboro High School Thursday was unfounded, said Dr. Ken LeCain, principal. Someone reported a “rumor” allegedly seen on social media involving a threat to the school and students’ safety, prompting an alert sent to parents Thursday afternoon. LeCain said an investigation revealed there was no actual threat and no danger.
