Register police arrested a man Tuesday on charges he physically attacked his 90-year-old aunt over money.Steve Marland Lowery, 38, of Church Street, was charged with simple battery of a person over age 65, said Register Police Chief Tom Kile. Lowery approached the elderly victim Saturday, demanding money. When she did not give him any money, Lowery began "stripping off her clothes" in search of cash, and caused visible injuries including a cut on the victim's hand, he said.
