Bulloch County Sheriff's investigators and family members of a missing mentally challenged man hope citizens can help them find 41-year-old Quient Garbett.
    He was last seen at his Old River Road home Saturday afternoon around 4 p.m., said Bulloch County Sheriff Chief Deputy Gene McDaniel.
    Family members reported Garbett missing around 11 p.m. Sunday evening, he said, but the last time Garbett was seen was " either lying in his bed or standing in the back yard," he said.
    There is no description available regarding the clothing Garbett was wearing, but he is described as a black male standing about 5'8" and weighing around 200 pounds with brown eyes and short black hair.
    His sister, Verleen Garbett, said her brother is shy and would not approach anyone if he was lost or hungry.
    "He doesn't socialize," she said. "He doesn't leave the house. He doesn't ride a bike or drive - if he goes anywhere, he walks."
    Bulloch County Sheriff's Chief Investigator Capt. Todd Hutchens said Garbett had not yet been found Wednesday afternoon. No foul play is suspected, he said. "It appears he wandered off or went with somebody."
    Deputies checked the area near the Garbett family home Sunday evening, but did not find and evidence "due to darkness, rain and the fact that the area is thickly wooded," McDaniel said.
    The Garbetts live on Old River Road "near Clay and Newton roads," Verleen Garbett said.
    A check with other family members and contacts Monday resulted in no information, he said. "No one reported having seen him."
    Deputies continue searching, but nothing to indicate Garbett's whereabouts has been found so far, he said.
