SOUTH BEND, Ind. — A building that once housed the College Football Hall of Fame is back on the market after a purchase agreement between the city of South Bend and Ivy Tech Community College expired. Ivy Tech had proposed using the 52,000 square feet for its culinary arts program under a $6 million proposal that did not include the building's estimated $2.68 million value. But Scott Ford, executive director of the city's economic development office, told the South Bend Tribune that the parties couldn't reach a deal "that made sense for taxpayers" for the property, which the city spent about $18 million to have constructed.
