GSU athletics ready for busy weekend

    Georgia Southern's football team will host its Blue & White spring game at 1 p.m. Saturday at Paulson Stadium, and the Fifth Annual $10,000 EFAA Reverse Raffle and Auction will follow at 6 p.m. in the Bishop Field House. Proceeds from the event will go to support the Erk Russell Scholarship Fund.
    Tickets for the EFAA event are $100 and can be purchased by calling the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation at 912-478-5520. Ticket registration will begin at 6 p.m. and heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served thought-out the duration of the event. A silent auction full of GSU and other sports memorabilia will run from 6-9 p.m. The live auction will start at 9 p.m. The final 10 tickets in the reverse raffle will be announced after the conclusion of the live auction.
    The Eagles will host the Little Eagles Camp at 10 a.m. prior to the spring game. GSU football players will put children through drills on the field at Paulson Stadium. The free event will give all youth ages 4-14 an opportunity to interact with members of the team.
    GSU's baseball team has moved its Saturday game to 6 p.m. to allow fans to spend the day on campus. Prior to the start of the game against Appalachian State, the Athletic Foundation will provide a free cookout in the lower parking lot of J.I. Clements Stadium.
    GSU's softball team will play College of Charleston at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday. The three-game series wraps up at 1 p.m. Sunday at Eagle Field.
