Georgia Southern softball players Marie Fogle and Sarah Purvis were named Southern Conference Player and Pitcher of the Month for March, respectively, Tuesday.
Fogle, a senior from Rincon, hit .554 last month with six doubles, three triples, and three home runs. She posted a .929 slugging percentage to go with eight stolen bases. She leads the SoCon with a .464 batting average.
Purvis, a sophomore from Warner Robins, went 7-3 with a no-hitter against La Salle to open the month. She struck out 90 batters in March, including 16 against La Salle.
