The All-Region 3-AA softball team was announced Monday, with seven area athletes making the cut.
    Sydnee Weaver, Tiffanie Burns and marla Thomson receoived first-team honors out of Screven County, and Southeast Bulloch's Hannah Denmark and Ansley Rushing also made the first team.
    Getting honorable mention were Screven's Rochelle Schuman and SEB's Effie Manahan.

Millen Milers and More XC race
    MILLEN — MIllen Milers and More is hosting the 13th-annual cross country 4.8 mile race Saturday at Magnolia Springs Park at 9 a.m.
    The event will also serve as the USA Treack and Field Georgia Association Cross Country Championships.
