Portal beats Johnson County
    Stacey Morgan scored 17 points and Cory Reese added 11 points to help Portal (5-1 overall, 1-1 Region 3-A) defeat Johnson County, 52-25, in a boys basketball game Tuesday night at Portal.
    Johnson County was led by Gehazi Irwin, who scored 11 points.

Treutlen County boys beat Metter
    Drew Gillin scored 17 points to lead Treutlen County (3-1) to a 53-51 victory over Metter in a boys basketball game Tuesday night.
    Trent Thomas scored 13 points to lead Metter (3-4). Jamarce Mason had 11 points and James Gunn chipped in 10 points for the Tigers.

Treutlen County girls beat Metter
    Lanesha Blair scored 18 points to lead Treutlen County to a 49-30 victory over Metter in girls basketball  Tuesday.
    Alicia Kelly scored nine points to lead Metter (1-5).

SHS JV beats SEB
    Statesboro High School's junior-varsity boys basketball team defeated Southeast Bulloch, 64-26, on Tuesday.
